Is Tiger Woods finally back? After having what seems to be his hundredth back surgery, Tiger has been making his recovery to getting back into playing shape and throughout this process, he has been documenting process on Instagram. While he has been progressing up from shot game shots to hitting full drives, yesterday we saw the return of his stinger shot, and FOLLLKS, let me tell you, I am excited. It looks like the Big Cat is finally getting healthy and might be making his return to the Tour.
Now, if this is the case and he does not suddenly revert to having a body that breaks when he sneezes, what can we expect from Tiger when he comes back to the Tour? Obviously, golf has completely changed since Tiger last won on the Tour. Sergio has a Green Jacket, which I guess is cool if you are into that sorta thing. Golf's young guns are still showing they are the big boys are on the block. Over the weekend, Justin Thomas just won his first trophy of the season in South Korea and there is no reason to suspect Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and Jason Day will slow down their good play. So, where does that leave the Big Cat in Red? Tiger is never gonna be the Tiger he was when he was the number 1 player in the world for like 20 years. That being said, if Tiger can win a few tournaments a year, maybe contend for a major or two, and stay healthy, I think all golf fans can be happy with that result. No matter how talented the field is and how many new stars come onto the scene, golf will always be better when Tiger is playing.
